My husband and I recently stayed in the Hilton Mahogany Bay Resort & Beach Club in San Pedro, Belize. The resort is amazing and, in our opinion, is probably the best place to stay in San Pedro. To get there, you need to fly into Belize City and then take either a 15-minute puddle jumper or 1.5 hour water taxi to get to the island of Ambergris Caye. Once on the island, you can rent a golf cart or have a resort driver pick you up at the airport. For more information about your trip to San Pedro, take a look at the Travel Guide.
If you haven’t considered Belize for your next vacation destination then I highly recommend you do! From swimming with sharks to exploring the town, there are memories to be made! When visiting Belize, the place to go is San Pedro, a town on the island of Ambergris Caye.
This is a vulnerable post for me as my skin was my biggest insecurity for years. In high school, I would stand in front of the mirror, find one patch of clear skin, cover the rest of my face, and dream of what it would be like if all of my skin was clear.
For someone who loves to travel as much as I do, I certainly do have a strong distaste for packing… and I know I’m not alone in this. Since it is 110% necessary to have a suitcase full of the things you want and need to have the kind of trip that you’re going on, you would think that, especially for the dream vacations, you could easily motivate yourself to check the box. However, it never seems to be that simple, does it?
I lived in Pennsylvania for the first 20 years of my life, so I know all about cold weather. Even here in North Carolina, although I’ve escaped most of the snow, it still can get pretty chilly during the winter. Regardless of the temperature outside, I’ve found that it almost doesn’t matter what season it is, the office always seems to be an icebox and I can never quite figure out how to stay warm at work.
Right now, a ton of squiggly, bright designs are in for manis. While I always see those designs and wonder realistically how many nail salons can actually do them (and how much do they charge?!), I also acknowledge they wouldn’t be a walk in the park to do at home either- particularly on your non-dominant hand. So how do you get the trendy, pretty mani? Well, I pulled out one of my old middle school tricks… the water marble, to see if I could recreate the look myself.
Starbucks, for me as well as many people across the globe, is a tiny cup of happiness. It’s a quick way to recharge and break up the hours of sitting at a desk, starting at a screen. It’s something to look forward to. It’s a heartwarming treat to brighten your day. In honor of National Coffee Day, I wanted to share 8 Starbucks drinks you absolutely must try.
If you’ve never been to Asheville, NC, you should really add it to your list. It’s an unassuming little city tucked in the Blue Ridge Mountains with a mix of an industrial, artsy vibe that is full of hidden treasures in the downtown and surrounding areas. After three and a half years of being told that I must make the two hour drive, my husband and I scheduled a weekend trip. It was a blast and we did a ton of cool stuff, but if I had it to do again, these are the five items that I would add to my trip to create my dream Asheville itinerary.
Nowadays, working from home is the new norm. Even companies that previously didn’t permit telework or swore it wasn’t possible have adapted and are making it happen. Teachers, as well as their elementary through college students, have, at least at some point, had to navigate the switch to virtual classrooms… and don’t even get me started on how much I empathize with those who are trying to work at home while taking care of a baby and/or ensuring their young child stays focused on their schoolwork.
